Christmas decorating

The styles of Christmas decorating are always fun to observe. Some people spend days and days putting up their Christmas decorations and keep touching it up even when it is completed. Some people have simple elegant style and some go wild and fun! Take our neighborhood for example. There is the house at the front of the subdivision that is full of large plastic characters, strategically place around the porch and yard. Their neighbors have a simple train and pre lit deer plopped out in front of their bushes. The next home that has up lights went crazy with lights on everything they can reach, but nothing up high. Sometimes this can be tough to look at. Too much squashed in one small space.

I laugh when I drive up the next street. I tell my daughters that this street could give us seizures! Most of the homes on this cul de sac have their homes covered in lights from roof peaks, to lawns! Every bush, tree, window frame and porch rail has been wrapped in LED lights. Most of the lights flash too! The lights go from one edge of the lawn to the other and multiple inflatable friends are brightly lit and blow in the breeze. To say this is crazy is an understatement and neighbor after neighbor tries to outdo each other!

When we reach home, we can relax. Our house is covered in white and red lights over the peak and around the roof. The bushes are decorated with lights and a Santa inflatable waves at you. Simple candles are in the windows. Not too little and not too much, just right!
