Putting things off

I have hit a mental block that has put me horribly behind in my studies. I have not even turned in any homework in over a month. I am not sure what is wrong, but I am definitely letting life get in the way!! So I have to make some goals to get my schooling going if I am going to sign up for new classes after Christmas.
My biggest block with my writing class is this blog. I can’t remember to make myself get online everyday to write. Writing has never been hard for me. I have even tried to get published before. But the older I get the more scattered my thoughts, so it does make it harder to write. Especially when my kids constantly interrupt me!! I can’t remember my train of thought!
One of my goals is going to be to turn in lots of homework. I will start by finishing my blog assignments. Then I will write and turn in the first paper. I need to take many tests in my other classes as well. I will take my Money class test by Friday and my first meteorology test by the end of the weekend. I have to watch two films for my film class, so I will try to watch both movies by the end of the weekend as well, and then I can turn in my film paper by Tuesday.
I have never been the best at holding myself accountable by coming up with thousands of good reasons to put things off. I am really going to try to hold myself to this!

Fall is FINALLY here!

Fall is in the air! Thank goodness the heat of the summer is behind us. I hate summer and thought I would melt! The sunny days, cool breezes, that is what makes it worth it living in Missouri.
And now the Cards are in the play offs! Who would have thought? I am so excited for them. I can’t believe they tied it up 1-1 and I can’t wait till they come home to play! We must kick some Philly bootie!
I love how the trees are changing colors. So beautiful. God’s beauty is painted everywhere.
I pulled up our very poor garden today. There was no bountiful harvest this year. ;-) I did leave in one cherry tomato plant that is full of fruit that has yet to ripen. We will see if Mother Nature gives us a little candy. Transplanted the marigolds from the back to the front. Will see if they survive the trip!
Time for fall break at school too! No trips or travel for us, no money! I am blessed that I will be able to be at home with the kids as this break comes up. And exciting happenings as our German exchange student is coming. I am doing some serious redecorating and cleaning getting ready for her arrival. I hope she has a good time while she is here.
This is a wonderful time to do some outdoor cleaning too! I need to stain the deck and wash the windows. Wonder why I never have time for school work? Hmmm? I have to stop letting life get in the way!
